Hawaiian Honu

This one-of-a-kind honu sculpture is handcrafted from premium Hawaiian koa wood and brought to life with a vibrant, translucent resin inlay. Each curve is hand-carved to follow the natural flow of the wood, allowing the grain and live edges to guide the shape of the honu’s shell, flippers, and gentle form.
The center of the piece features a detailed ocean-inspired resin pour, creating the illusion of waves moving across the honu’s back. Layers of turquoise and deep-sea blues swirl together, with white lacing that mimics the shoreline. The koa islands floating within the resin give the appearance of the honu carrying Hawai‘i wherever it glides.
